Whether it's a cross-country hunting trek, drive across town to the range, or long-term storage, you need a proper rifle case for your long gun collection. Range Often set out to find the best rifle cases available today, with bombproof units from names like Plano, Pelican, Voodoo Tactical, SKB, and more. Our rifle cases provide weather-resistant protection, locking features, easy-to-carry handles and straps, and plenty of padding and compartments for your rifles, ammo, eye and ear pro, and range or hunting gear.

Hard and soft rifle cases available

Looking for a shock-proof hard case that could stick a water landing at velocity? We've got you covered with SKB's iSeries Waterproof Case. Need a more subtle soft case that's lightweight and comfortable for carrying all-day? You'll find the Canvas Rifle Case from Bob Allen suitable at a great price.

"Which type of rifle case should I pick?"

That's an excellent question. Hard rifle cases are heavier and bulkier than soft cases. They also take up more space. The tradeoff you get in exchange is plenty of extra protection for your firearms. The typical hard case is also TSA-approved for air travel, making them the perfect choice for those cross-country hunting trips. Most hard cases are also weather-resistant and some are waterproof. A small, slim hard case like the SKB iSeries 4909 Single Rifle Case balances that hard-case protection with a small, easy-to-carry profile.

Of course, soft cases have their own, unique advantages. A soft case is much lighter and more compact than a hard case, making it easy to carry if you're ruckin' it to an outdoor shooting spot or hunting blind. Most soft rifle cases include a removable padded shoulder strap - something virtually no hard case comes with. Soft cases can provide even more storage capacity, too: Most come with PALS webbing to install extra bags and ammo pouches. An extra-padded soft rifle case like the Allen Battalion Tactical Case makes for an easy carry and it still provides plenty of protection against hard impacts and abuse.

Ready to ruck (in the muck)

No matter what type of rifle case you pick, we only source soft and hard cases that are, in fact, water-resistant. All soft cases are made from PVC and high-density ballistic nylon, providing natural water resistant in cold and wet weather. All hard cases are made from waterproof polymers and most feature O-ring seals.
